At first, there was a love of art. Through a childhood exploration of various media including batik, painting, photography, and drawing, Sonya had the opportunity to try it all. This is how she discovered graphic design…and in love, she fell again.

Sonya honed her design skills at Howard University and NYU. With 20 years of experience in design, Sonya has worked in publishing and marketing with clients including Scholastic, Coca-Cola, Diageo, City of Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs, Studio Museum in Harlem, and the American Montessori Society. She creates custom invitations for both corporate events and weddings. She is a master organizer of visual information with a keen eye for design and detail. She has a style all of her own, finding beauty in simplicity, clean lines, and vibrant pops of color. She is passionate about bold patterns and art education.
